EUFORE

European Forest Research and Innovation Ecosystem

The European Forest Research and Innovation Ecosystem (EUFORE) is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by the European Forest Institute (EFI), running from November 2022 to October 2026. The overarching ambition of EUFORE is to greatly improve the sector’s research and innovation funding and governance structure. The project builds a sustainable, transnational, co-creative environment to define, implement and evaluate a research and innovation (R&I) agenda and road-map for the forest-based value chains in Europe.

EUSTAFOR is a sub-contractor in the EUFORE project, and as such will be principally involved in providing feedback on surveys and the set-up of workshops, as well as the dissemination said surveys and their results among our network.

EUFORE has created a innovation survey, designed to explore the innovation activities, challenges, and trends within the forestry and forest-based sector. There are two tailored surveys, one for companies and another for other forest-related organizations:

  1. Innovation Survey for Companies: This survey targets small and large private companies, public enterprises, semi-public companies, industries, and private forest owners with company status.
  2. Innovation Survey for Organizations: This survey is for government/public entities, research institutions, societal and non-governmental organizations, networking organizations, associations, and private forest owners.

The insights will help shape sustainable and transnational strategies, driving positive change and advancements in the forestry sector.
