Key challenges to upscaling nature restoration in the EU – learning from LIFE experience

 

The LIFE Programme would like to invite you to the on-line LIFE networking meeting on the “Key challenges to upscaling nature restoration in the EU – learning from LIFE experience” organised on 20-21 March 2025 (mornings only). 

During this meeting, you will hear from the experience of 15 concrete restoration projects funded by the LIFE Programme. The event will focus on three strategic subjects that are key for successful upscaling nature restoration projects: ‘transfer of knowledge and building capacity’, ‘access to land’ and ‘mobilising other sectors’.

In support of the implementation phase of the Nature Restoration Regulation and based on the experience of LIFE projects implemented since 2007, the meeting will enable you to: 

1. 1. learn from past and ongoing restoration projects on how they solved challenges they faced when implementing restoration measures;
   2. identify ways to upscale restoration from local to higher level;
   3. formulate recommendations for policy, practice and the LIFE Programme on how to make nature restoration a success.
