National Forest Administration-ROMSILVA is acting under the authority of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, having as a main scope the sustainable management of the state forests, in accordance with the forest management plans. One of the principal targets is to grow the contribution of state forests on the improvement of environmental conditions and to deliver to the national economy timber and other specific products with economic efficiency. Romsilva is acting also as a horse breading authority for the equine genetic heritage and is managing 22 national and natural parks.
