Staatsbosbeheer

Staatsbosbeheer, founded in 1899, is a Dutch government organization for forestry and the management of nature reserves. The organization owns and manages 271,000 hectares of forests and nature conservation areas distributed across the 12 Dutch provinces. Staatsbosbeheer protects and develops the characteristic green heritage of the Netherlands. Its focus is on ensuring that current and future generations can experience the many important values of nature, in balance with the sustainable use of our areas with society.
