The executive office of the European State Forest Association (EUSTAFOR) has the great regret to inform about the sudden and unexpected death of Mr Dragoș Ciprian Pahonțu, former CEO of the Romanian State Forest Organisation ROMSILVA, on Tuesday, 6 August 2019.

Mr Ciprian Pahonțu, a former long-term member of EUSTAFOR’s Executive Committee (2010-2018), was a true professional who loved forests and respected people working there. He was a great colleague who eagerly shared his experience and knowledge within EUSTAFOR and beyond.

It is with sadness and silence that we are mourning Ciprian. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
