NEW MTK BIODIVERSITY PROGRAMME ON BIODIVERSITY

A webinar on biodiversity, organized by the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK) representing farmers, forest owners and rural entrepreneurs in Finland, was held on 24 March.

The webinar was the opportunity to present the new MTK Biodiversity Programme that outlines actions and their planned development in order to contribute to biodiversity-related challenges.

Besides, participants had the chance to hear from other invited speakers, including:

• Ms Elsi Katainen, MEP
• Mr Marco Onida, Senior Expert, European Commission DG Environment
• Mr Jabier Ruiz, Senior Policy Officer, Agriculture and Sustainable Food Systems, WWF European Policy Office
• Mr Jori Ringman, Director General, The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI).
