EPP Public Hearing on the European Forest Strategy – The Way Forward
The EPP Public Hearing on the European Forest Strategy – The Way Forward is hosted by MEP Herbert Dorfmann (EPP Group Coordinator, Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development) and MEP Peter Liese (EPP Group Coordinator, Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety), taking place on 4 March (14:30 – 17:30) in the European Parliament (Room A3E-2), Brussels.
The panel discussions will focus on 3 topics:
- Panel 1: The beneficial role of well-managed and growing forests for economies
- Panel 2: How can the forests contribute to the climate battle and have a rich biodiversity at the same time?
- Panel 3: Born in the forest, live from the forest, look after the forest – the many meanings of our forests
Mrs Aigar Kallas, CEO of Estonian State Forests (RMK), will attend the 3rd panel discussion.
