EURACTIV virtual conference “The future of EU forests”

EURACTIV is organising a the virtual conference “The future of EU forests – A new EU Framework for Forest Monitoring and Strategic Plans”. This event is to take place online on 20 February 2024 from 9.30 to 10.45 CET.

The aim of the event is to discuss the proposed new EU Framework for Forest Monitoring and Strategic Plans. This framework aims to develop “an EU-wide forest observation framework” (European Commission) providing open access to the condition and management of the EU’s forests. During the panel discussion, our president Mr. Juha Niemelä will be representing European state forestry. The other panelists are:
