The new EU Forest Strategy – Online Public hearing

On 14 September 2021 (9.30 – 13.00 CEST), the section for Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (NAT) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organizing an online public hearing to gather stakeholders and civil society’s views on the new EU Forest Strategy for 2030, which will feed into the preparation of the EESC opinion on this topic.

This event will bring together a wide range of stakeholders, experts and representatives of European institutions to share ideas and discuss:

• the state of Europe’s forests;
• what sustainable forest management implies in practice;
• how forest stakeholders can best tap the economic and social benefits provided by forests and ensure forest ecosystem’s health and vitality.
