Natura 2000 Awards 2022

The European Commission is inviting to partecipate at the Natura 2000 Award Ceremony on the 18 May 2022 at 17:00 in the Berlaymont, 200 rue de la Loi, 1000 Bruxelles (Belgium).

The purpose of the EU Natura 2000 Award is to reward excellence in the management of Natura 2000 sites and give a recognition to the organization and people who made efforts about this relevant issue. The award wants also to increase awareness of Natura 2000 network and the significant role in safeguarding the European natural heritage, promoting social and economic welbeing.

Commissioner Sinkevičius jointly with members of the high level jury (click here to see the jury) will announce the winners of the 6th Natura 2000 Awards 2022.

The finalists selected from across EU are 21 from Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain and include several cross-border initiatives, involving even Croatia and Cyprus.

The ceremony will be also transmitted live on EbS and SCIC where it is possible to follow the event.
