High-Level Policy Dialogue | Sustainable Forest Management: unlocking forest biodiversity’s potential

On 30 August 2022, FOREST EUROPE (FE) will hold a panel discussion between ministers, high-level policymakers, environmental organizations, forest managers, researchers, youth and landowners, to exchange knowledge and promote synergies in the Pan-European region. The High-Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) will focus on “Sustainable Forest Management: unlocking forest biodiversity’s potential” and it will be held from 13:00 to 17:00 CEST.

The current scenario is leading to a critical debate at the international forestry level. The main focus of the event will discuss “to what extent Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) can maintain and eventually enhance forest biological diversity, and ensure the balance with other forest ecosystem services.”

The event will be hybrid, with physical participation in Bonn (Germany) limited to the panelists and keynote speakers only. The host of this event is the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr. Cem Özdemir.
