LIFE Soria ForestAdapt

On 17 June, Life Soria will host an event discussing “Sustainable adaptation of forest management to climate change”. The event will start at 8.15 and ends at 11.00 CET, and will take place in the Residence Palace Hotel in Brussels.

This four-year project focuses on adaptive forest management in the Spanish province of Soria. If successful, its practices will be implemented on a larger scale in the larger Region of Castilla y Léon and the rest of Spain.

The event will see various speakers discuss different project-related topics. Stefanie Schmidt from DG Envi will discuss the Forest Monitoring Proposal, PEFC and FSC will be represented to discuss certification and the role of public and private organizations within the project will be explained.
