Boosting competitive and resilient Agricultural and Forest-Based Bioeconomy in the EU

Event by CEPF, COPA-COGECA and EUSTAFOR
14 October 2025 (8.30-13.00 hrs), followed by a networking lunch.
The EU and its Member States are facing increasing geopolitical and climate-related changes with a growing number of impacts to European competitiveness & innovation, environment and social welfare. The future bio-based economy, is best positioned to allow the EU to stand firm and strengthen its strategic autonomy and resilience while guaranteeing sustainable management of natural resources.
European farmers, forest owners and managers are strongly committed to continue to contribute in the future to bioeconomy by facilitating the shift away from fossil-based materials and energy through the supply of sustainably sourced and renewable raw materials, providing services to the society, ensuring jobs and supporting viable rural areas, whilst, in parallel, ensuring continued development of resilient forest and agriculture.
As the organisations representing European farmers, forest owners and managers, we take an active stance in the debate about the key role the agricultural and forest primary sectors should play in enhancing the EU bioeconomy.
The event will gather actors from the ground, EU institutions and organisations and will bring concrete stories, questions, proposals and expectations to the EU discussion. In that light, we would like to facilitate the platform for this debate and invite you to our joint event on 14 October 2025, from 8.30 – 13.00, followed by a networking lunch. The meeting will take place at L42 Business Center, located at Rue de la Loi 42, 1000 Brussels.
