Southern European forests facing climate change and market challenges
USSE is pleased to invite you to the conference “Southern European forests facing climate change and market challenges” on 29 September 2022 in Bordeaux, France (in-person only). The forests of southern Europe are facing numerous challenges as a result of climate change, which is currently reflected in the numerous adverse phenomena that forests are suffering from in various places throughout Europe: fires, droughts, gales, pests and diseases, etc. The management of our forests is more necessary than ever. With this conference, we want to show the experience that forest owners in the USSE regions have and the work that they carry out to manage the forestry reality of southern Europe, with its particularities and specific difficulties, in the face of the challenges of climate change and the challenges of the market.
The conference will be translated into English, French and Spanish.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to circumstances beyond the organisation’s control there has been a change of venue and hotel for the event, which is finally going to be held at the Hotel Pullman Bordeaux Lac. USSE will organise a shuttle bus transfer to the new venue from the Mercure Hotel Bordeaux Chateau Chartrons at 8.15 am. for those staying at this hotel. Attendees are therefore advised to stay at this hotel.
A dinner will also be held at the Mercure Hotel Bordeaux Chateau Chartrons on 29 September at 20:00 for all conference participants who wish to attend.
