CBE JU open calls for proposals

The CBE JU 2026 Call for Project Proposals will open for submissions on 23 April 2026 and close on 22 September 2026 at 17:00 Brussels time. The call budget is 170 million euros and the call identifier is HORIZON-JU-CBE-2026.  The CBE JU calls follow the rules and procedures of Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation programme.

The call topics are all related to Research and Innovation concerning bio-based products. At first glance, the most interesting for state forest organizations would be “Biotech routes for valorisation of residual biomass” for which a budget of 14 million euro is reserved.

EUSTAFOR will likely be approached at some point by research institutes that want to involve us. At the same time, any EUSTAFOR organisations that are interested can let Roberto Stelstra of the EUSTAFOR Office know. EUSTAFOR will try to bring you into contact with other interested parties.
