EUSTAFOR welcomes a new team member

EUSTAFOR is glad to welcome our new colleague Josep Milà-Puigdomènech to the team. He joined our office in Brussels on the 18th of November, and will fill the position of Policy and Communications Officer.

Josep has a BsC in Biology and Ecology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and an MSc in Nature Management, Landscape Biodiversity and Planning from the University of Copenhagen (KU). After his studies he worked as an environmental educator and a scientific editor in sustainability and nature management before entering the role of biodiversity and policy officer at the Catalan Directorate General for Forests and Management of the Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of Catalonia. There he worked in communication and promoting sustainable forest management across the region as well as in the implementation of the local Bioeconomy policies. Furthermore he was involved in landscape resilience, forest fire prevention, non wood based forest products, and advocacy.

EUSTAFOR’s communication tasks will be divided between Josep and Roberto, and Josep will deal with policy files on forest and rural development, resilience, forest strategy and water.
